All applicants will be required to attend a pre-certification course, pass a CBI background check, and complete an approved Concussion Course. The AYL/Spartans are partnering with USA FOOTBALL to certify coaches in Heads Up Tackling, Concussion Awareness, and Equipment Fitting. Stay tuned for more information on how to access the USA FOOTBALL site through the Spartan Program. If you are interested in helping teach kids the fundamentals of football, please contact the Football Director immediately!
There is no guarantee that you will receive a head coaching position until all background information and team availability is confirmed.

You have reached the official home of the Spartans! The Spartans are the premier youth football organization servicing Aurora, Centennial and Arapahoe County. The Spartans are one of the largest youth football organizations in the state of Colorado. The Spartans compete against other youth organizations in the Arapahoe Youth League (AYL). The member clubs of the AYL are; Spartans, Hawks, Bruins, Dolphins, Warriors, Eagles and Thunder. The Spartans offer tackle football for kids ages of 6 (1st grade) through age 13/14 (8th grade). Our goal is to teach the fundamentals of football and promote sportsmanship. If you are looking to have your child learn the fundamentals of football and have fun you are in the right place! 5/1/2018 Team voluntary conditioning starts four (4) workouts per month (1 per week) NO HELMENTS OR PADS
6/4/2018 Returning Spartan Football player registration deadline
7/21/2018 Team voluntary conditioning ends
7/23/2018 Official start of pre-season practices
7/24/2018 - Spartan Football Camp from 4 PM to 7:30 PM
8/11/2018 MANDATORY OFFICIAL WEIGH-IN (Late WEIGH-IN will have a fee)
8/25/2018 First regular season games
Changes to the Football Home page for this year:
Registration will open on Monday, May 1st, 2018.
All returning players must be signed up by June 4, 2018 to guarantee a roster spot on your last year’s team. NFC players must have coach’s invitation and code.
Early Bird Registration May 1st - 13th @ Midnight - $325.00
Regular Registration - May 14th - June 15th @ Midnight $350.00
Late Registration June 16th - July 31st @ Midnight $375.00
Any registrations after August 1st is $400.00
We will continue to offer multi-family discounts for those parents ($50 per each additional registered player) who have multiple kids playing Fall Football. Payment plans will on be offered on regular registration ONLY and must stay current. If your card is declined and you do not notify Dana with new card #, you will be expected to pay the balance in full within 10 days. It is your responsibility to notify Spartans if you receive a new card that needs to replace an existing card on the payment plan. Any player with an outstanding balance when games start will NOT PLAY until their balance is paid in full. This will be strictly enforced this year.
Your registration will automatically default to the next payment structure if payment is not paid during the registration time period. Example, if you register during Early Bird and do not make payment, you will then incur the regular registration rate. No discounts will be given after the date has passed for that registration period. Checks must be post marked 2 days prior to close of that registration time period in order to receive that registration fee, no exceptions.
Registrations received after July 15th will be placed on an as needed basis only.
REGISTRATIONS COMPLETED ON LINE ARE NOT COMPLETE AND PLAYERS ARE NOT PLACED ON A TEAM UNTIL A COPY OF AN OFFICIAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE! Please follow the instructions during the registration process to upload a .pdf file of your player's birth certificate or fax it to the Spartan Store.
Spartans is a non-profit organization and therefore has a no-refund policy once team’s practices have begun (7/22/2018). Any request made prior to this will be assessed a $25.00 administrative fee.
The Spartans would recommend waiting to purchase any football equipment until you are absolutely certain your child has been placed on a team or you have been contacted by your coach. The Spartans will not be responsible for the reimbursement of any costs associated with the purchase of any equipment in the event your child cannot be placed on a team. So please make sure your child has a team and a coach before you buy equipment. Uniforms are not included in the registration cost and will need to be purchased through the Spartan Store or our online store. Both a home and away jersey are required.
